We asked our students what they like most about studying at Communicare Academy and this is what they told us.

 

The Best thing about attending Communicare Academy is feeling like you are apart of something. We get to see our friend’s every day.

The annual camp was a major highlight with all the kids, participating in activities such as swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, abseiling, rock climbing and crate climbing. Although everyone agrees the best part of all was pushing the teachers into the pool!

 

 I love getting to have lunch with my friends and do craft.

The supportive services at the Academy create a sense of community and belonging. The students described the Art room, Hub, Student Services and the comfy couch in Room 1 as the many safe places around the school.

 

There are so many good moments at school it’s hard to choose just one. Principal Matt’s terrible dad jokes are a highlight.

Matt, the principal, is involved with all the kids which has really made a difference to the students, who feel supported all the way from the top.

Communicare Academy is more than just a school and that really shows when you see the faces of students light up when talking about what studying here means to them.

 

The Academy It is a nurturing place to be. It feels like it is really getting you ready for the real world. You don’t have to carry heavy bags around – the weight of the world is taken off your shoulders for a moment!
