Sanchia has been the Principal of Communicare Academy since May 2024. She has worked at Communicare Academy since 2020 and joined the leadership team in 2021. Sanchia started her teaching career in Esperance after a background in Training & Assessment and has a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) from Curtin University (2017).

As the Principal, Sanchia is dedicated to building and fostering a safe, positive and nurturing environment for the students to help them achieve their full potential. Sanchia is also deeply committed in ensuring that staff and students are well supported and can thrive under her leadership.

Sharmain Tang started as a Literacy teacher at Communicare Academy in Sept 2022 and joined joined the leadership team in late 2024. Sharmain leads the school’s compliance tasks and manages student supports.

Sharmain graduated from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Education and English. She also has a Diploma in Accountancy and Finance, and is a trained Sounds-Write tutor. She has over 10 years of experience teaching students with various language needs (dyslexia, DLD, dysgraphia etc.).

At the Academy, Sharmain manages the day to day operations of the school, funding applications, student supports, and compliance tasks.

Outside of work, Sharmain goes between being a homebody and a globetrotter.

Julie Williams (Jules) has been a member of the Communicare Academy since 2022. Initially, she assumed leadership responsibilities during periods of extended leave for other leaders, managing roles such as Head of Compliance and Head of Teaching and Curriculum. She also taught English and HASS to Year 8 and 9 students in the junior school and delivered the CGEA curriculum to senior students in Years 10-12.

In 2024, Jules transitioned to a full-time leadership role as the Head of Teaching and Learning, ensuring the curriculum and pedagogical practices adhere to high standards, fostering student achievement, and overseeing the development of Individual Education Plans. Her responsibilities also include management of Teaching staff, the maintenance of teaching practices, and the administration of curriculum, assessments, and reporting protocols.

Jules holds a Bachelor of English and Communications from Murdoch University and a Diploma of Education (Secondary) from Curtin University. Beyond her professional endeavours, she enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with her family.

Jenna joined the Academy’s Business Manager in August 2022. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and a Master’s in Commerce Professional Accounting (CPA Extension). As a certified Chartered Financial Controller (CFC™), she is also pursuing her Chartered Accountant Qualification. Jenna’s professional background spans roles as an Accountant and Auditor across the United States, Philippines, and Australia, equipping her with significant expertise

At the Academy, her responsibilities include managing finances, budgeting, logistics, OHS compliance, resources, and maintenance operations. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family.
