Matt has been the Principal of Communicare Academy since January 2020. He’s been with the Academy since it’s first year in 2014, first as a teacher, then as the Curriculum Leader, and now as Principal.

Before joining Communicare, Matt completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Curtin University (2005) and worked in private business for several years. Matt grew up on a farm in a small wheatbelt town, boarding in the city for his high school years. While working as a boarding supervisor at that school he realised his interest in teaching and went on to complete a Diploma of Education at Murdoch University (2008) before moving to London to begin his teaching career.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys skateboarding, spending time with his family, playing AFL, and returning to his country hometown.

As Principal, Matt leads the school community, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.

Rebecca Morse has worked as a teacher at Communicare Academy since the day the school opened. She joined the leadership team in 2017 and leads the school’s compliance tasks and manages student supports.

Rebecca has a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education and Bachelor of Arts (English and History) from the University of Notre Dame (2013) and a Master of Education (Leading Education) from Edith Cowan University (2020).

In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, is heavily involved in Scouts WA, and travelling Western Australia.

Rebecca manages the day to day operations of the school, funding applications, student supports, and compliance tasks.

Sanchia Hall has worked at Communicare Academy since 2020. Sanchia joined the leadership team in 2021 and leads the school’s teachers, ensuring that curriculum and teaching practice is of a high standard and that our student achievement is on track.

Sanchia has a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) from Curtin University (2017).

In her spare time, Sanchia enjoys travelling the world and spending time with her family in her country hometown.

Sanchia manages the students’ learning needs, Individual Education Plans, teachers, quality teaching practice, curriculum, assessments, and reporting requirements.

Jenna started at the Academy in August 2022 as our Business Manager. Jenna has a Bachelors in Hospitality Management and a Masters in Commerce Professional Accounting (CPA Extension) and is currently pursuing her Chartered Accountant Qualification.

In her spare time, Jenna enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering at her church’s children’s program.

Jenna manages the school’s finances, budget operations, logistics, resources, and maintenance requirements.
