We offer a strong suite of courses and programs to entice young people in Years 7-12 to re-engage with their educational journey
Communicare Academy is an independent, non-government CARE (Curriculum and Re-Engagement with Education) school committed to reconnecting young people, who through no fault of their own, find themselves educationally and socially at-risk or alienated from their education.
We provide a holistic education experience that meets the diverse needs of our students including small classes, hands-on vocational learning, personalised and flexible learning groups, excursions, individualised pastoral care and social support from Communicare’s wider range of support services.
The Communicare Academy is a nurturing environment which provides students with a variety of experiences which leave them well equipped with skills for life after school, whether that be in post-secondary education or employment.
Our purpose-built facility is located in Royal Street in the south east metropolitan suburb of Kenwick, Western Society. We are registered with the Department of Education Services and we hold membership with the Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia (AISWA). Our maximum capacity is 92 students.
The Communicare Academy was established in 2014 in an office building in Cannington, Western Australia. Our academy in Kenwick, Western Australia officially opened in November 2015, providing us with an opportunity to showcase our students’ work and success stories with the local community for the first time.
In Term Two 2017, we were notified of our successful accreditation for another four and a half years’ registration as an independent non-government school by the Department of Education Services; which we feel is a testament to the dedication and perseverance of our students and teaching and non-teaching staff.
