For the sixth year in a row, our Communicare Academy participated in the World’s Greatest Shave in term one as part of our quarterly Wellbeing Day.

What started in 2016 as a way for one student to give back to medical research of blood cancers as a former leukaemia patient, has now turned into an annual event involving not just our school community but our wider organisation as well.

Together, we worked towards sending a powerful message of hope for the families doing it tough through blood cancer, with two of our students sacrificing their hair.

The $687.00 raised will be donated to the Leukaemia Foundation to support scientists continue to search for better ways to diagnose and treat blood cancer more effectively.

Congratulations to Michael and Haylee who were brave enough to shave
