On the 4th of September, seven of our Outdoor Education students went on a 4-day sailing camp to
Busselton.

Our staff and students stayed at a beautiful campsite in Vasse, Western Australia, located 20 metres from the beach. Everyone enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves. Both staff and students had an incredible time, building stronger bonds and ate extremely well all week!

We were fortunate enough to have a member of the South of Perth Yacht Club with us who coached us while we were on the water. Our students performed exceptionally well while sailing, all gaining a qualification, Sailing 1, by the end of the week!

Students and staff sailed from Geographe Bay Yacht Club to the Busselton Jetty, then south to a boat ramp and jetty where we stopped for lunch and a spot of fishing. Overall, they travelled approximately 25km.

We are so extremely proud of all our students who attended this camp. They contributed and participated exceptionally in all activities, even when we were eaten alive by mosquitoes!

A huge thank you to the South of Perth Yacht club for the 10 weeks of lessons in Term Two, and the 4-day camp. We are all looking forward to the next expedition with great anticipation.
