Year 10-12

Preparing our students for life after school

Learning

Years 10-12

Our nationally accredited course prepares Years 10-12 for further study and work.

Certificates in General Education for Adults (CGEA) provide a range of educational opportunities for our students in Years 10-12 to increase their participation in the community and the workplace.

Our students attain nationally accredited units focused on literacy and numeracy which can prepare them for post-secondary options including: university, apprenticeships, traineeships, TAFE and employment.

Our students receive one-on-one instruction and guidance to assist them in completing all assessment tasks to the required standard; helping them to work independently.

The CGEA creates educational pathways for our students, because:

  • Completing the Certificates II and III ensures that our students are competitive when applying for TAFE courses;
  • Completing the Certificate III provides our students with the literacy and numeracy skills necessary to apply for specific vocational courses;
  • Successfully completing the Certificate IV in Academic Preparation Studies at Tuart College will allow students to apply for enrolment at Curtin University.

Certificate I CGEA

Certificate l focuses on developing literacy and numeracy skills so that our students are able to create and interpret texts and solve numeracy questions in everyday situations.

The Certificate l course is made up of 16 units:
