Learn more about enrolling in our school

Who are we?

Communicare Academy is an independent, non-government Curriculum and Re-engagement with Education (CaRE) School. Our school is registered with the Department of Education Services and we hold membership with the Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia (AISWA). Our school, which opened in 2014, offers alternative education to young people in Years 7 – 12. Students are referred to us by other schools, agencies and service providers.

How much does it cost?

Communicare Academy is an independent, non-government school and therefore requires a contribution to the school. We have a registration and enrolment fee plus an annual fee. If there is more than one child from the family enrolling at Communicare Academy, there is a reduction in the annual fee. The fees are discussed with our Business Manager, who arranges payment, and/or payment plans.

What is the attendance requirement?

Research clearly states that in order for students to succeed academically, they must attend school regularly and engage with their work. We understand that some students may have difficulty attending school, however, the expectation is that they attend daily. There is no part time enrolment.

What are the school hours?

Our school terms are the similar to the government schools. Our gates open at 8.30am and classes start at 9.00am. Breakfast is available between 8.30am – 9.00am. Our final lesson concludes at 2.30pm.
